Memento Mori Shirt, Colonial Gravestone Winged Skull Tee, New England Gothic, Dark Academia, Cemetery Shirt, Spooky Season

Inspired by the winged death’s heads carved on 1700s New England slate gravestones. “Memento mori” is Latin for “remember you will die.” The verse beneath it, “As you are now, so once was I. As I am now, so you must be. Prepare for death and follow me,” is one of the most common epitaphs in colonial burying grounds, still visible on hundreds of stones across New England today. Finished with the Liberty Forge carver’s mark at the foot of the stone, the way stone carvers once signed their work.
